Matthew Oaks
Vice President | Wealth Advisor
“When it comes to your retirement, you need more than a cookie-cutter plan with generic advice. Take the time to personalize your retirement so that it can meet your unique wants and needs.”
Matt has been in the financial services industry since 2011. Before that, he spent more than seven years as a youth pastor in Conneaut, Ohio, and Hubbard, Ohio.
Matt has always been interested in money and finance, growing up around Financial Security Management Agency, Inc., which was founded by his father, Glen. Matt saw early in his life the impact of his father’s work. His eyes were really opened when he realized the financial differences between his grandparents, watching one set struggle some while the other set was able to thrive. This inspired him to get into the business to help all people.
Matt has passed the Series 65 securities exam and holds life, health and annuity insurance licenses. He has an associate degree from Moody Bible Institute in biblical studies.
Matt has been married since 2006 to his wife, Liz, and their family has grown with the addition of three beautiful girls, Zoey, Charlie and Julia. When he’s not spending time with his family, he plays hockey, soccer and golf, and spends time coaching his daughters’ soccer teams. Matt has served as president of the Mathews Youth Soccer League for the past two years and volunteers in other local organizations. Matt and his family also enjoy annual trips to the Outer Banks.
